I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Mr Kintaro Hotel Asakusa South. The accommodations were clean and cozy, complete with a handy washing machine and a well-equipped kitchen for preparing meals. The location was quiet and within walking distance to convenience stores and the Ueno park.

Property location was great and very safe.

While the transport was easily accessible, it required a bit of a walk, especially dragging luggage for about 10-15 minutes to any line. The bed, unfortunately, was not comfortable enough for a longer stay and caused back pain. Additionally, the limited seating options in the room with a fold-out bed made relaxing difficult.

Consider using the well-equipped kitchenette to prepare quick meals, especially after a long day of exploring Tokyo.

So we had this cozy little setup like a studio apartment, pretty tight, but man we enjoyed cooking our own meals, felt homey. And there was this washing machine that really saved us after a long day. A nice drying feature for the shower area making sure we didn’t have a mildewy mess to deal with.

The Deluxe Family Suite featured a well-equipped kitchenette that made cooking a breeze. A handy washing machine for laundry after long days. The suite benefitted from soundproofing, ensuring a quiet atmosphere despite the bustling surroundings.

A sewage smell lingered, necessitating constant use of the toilet ventilation to mask it. Towel freshness fell short, and a lack of cabinet space meant clothes piled on the floor rather than neatly stowed away, which made the suite feel cluttered.
